Character Name: Lieutenant Nathaniel Flint
Character Nick-Name: The Lieutenant, Nate
Occupation or Rank: Landship Lieutenant. The Landship Scorpios is an anti-aircraft landship and armored escort.
Basic Look or Style: Brown. Long Wool Coat (Or Brown leather Coat), Brown Fredora, Brown suit (brown vest and pants, maybe a blazer), boots, tie. Often this is his look.
Alt: Military-Esque. Long, wool
Greatcoat (blue). Peaked Cap (blue). Black vest, blues in shirts. Black pants.
Boots.
Physical Description:
Dark Brown hair, mustache. White skin. Tall, a decent heighted
character. He is not “skinny” but ideally he does not show as much gut as I do
now (imagine me losing a decent amount of weight). Brown eyes.
Personality: Being used to solitude and crowds alike, he is equally at home working alone as well as with a team. He keeps his old rank of Lieutenant, a position of command but also a position to be commanded. He can adapt to be a great leader, but he often allows others better suited to step up.

He is sly
and witty but is tactful and objective most of the time. He cares for all those
who are under his command, even if he thinks ill of them, and will fight to the
death to protect them. He believes in Honor and Reputation, but only for those
who have earned it. His own is riddled with ups and downs. He is equally
comfortable with the tradition of a gentlemen’s dual, but will also shoot a
sleeping man in the back. This twisted system makes him a dark, unknown
character.
Skills: Skilled Landhsip Operator, Skilled Rifleman, Excellent Pistol Shot. Disguises. People Skills. Slightly Educated.
What makes them Steampunk: Fan of Automatic Weapons in a time before the popularity of machine guns. Nine Shooter Pistol (Le-Matt). Landship Lieutenant (Large Mechanized Walker).
How did they get their Nick-Name: After serving in the military and reaching Lieutenant Rank, he left and decided to keep his rank. In Steampunk Society, landships can be commanded by the mere rank of Lieutenant rather then a full fledge Captain. The nickname stuck.
What sort of friends or allies would this person normally have: In the business of anti-pirating and bandits, he keeps a lot of friends in the lawful community. However, some backwater allegiances have made him friends with several outlaws. He also has friends in the rich community and poor community due to his great people skills.
Who were this person's parents?: Sir Roland Flint was an avid explorer in 1856 before losing his American wife, Andrea Jackson Flint, to the flu. Their sons, young Nathaniel and baby Samuel, became a great burden on Roland. Roland sent them to be better raised by their Grandmother outside of
Background: After their Grandmother’s death, Samuel
disappeared to a foster home in New
York , while the older Nathaniel was sent to military
school. After being in the Mechanized corps until age 16, he was put aboard the
US Landship Washington , and upon surviving the
destruction of that ship he moved to the smaller US Landship Rushmore. Upon reaching the age of 24,
the new Lieutenant Flint filed and won the right to be Honorably Discharged
from the US Military right before the Great War. Upon struggling in the real
world, he found pieces to a broken landship, stole some other parts, and
created the first Landship Scorpios. Overtime his business and his reputation
grew to him being the most feared name in anti-airship warfare and a known name
to everything in the American West and North Africa .
He has even gone as far as West India for a
few jobs.
This character was in a dark ally when two thugs attacked them. Witnesses say they left the alley alright.
Why were they in the alley: After being pick-pocketed, Lt Flint chased the thief down the street then into the alleyway where he found the thief’s bosses, two large thugs.

Why were they in the alley: After being pick-pocketed, Lt Flint chased the thief down the street then into the alleyway where he found the thief’s bosses, two large thugs.
How did they get away from the thugs: One thug threw a punch,
After both
thugs fell to his bullets, he leaned against the wall. After seeing the thief
has escaped with his money, he looted the bodies of the two thugs for what
money and useful items they had and left the alley.
Character Name: The Landship Scorpios
Character Nick-Name: N/A
Occupation or Rank: The Landship Scorpios is an anti-aircraft landship and armored escort.
Basic Look or Style: Large, Metallic landship. It has a distinct look and feel of a Scorpion.
Physical Description:
It has a large, thick hull like that of a naval battleship, only it has
been flattened on the bottom. It is small, as far as any ship is concerned, at
only 121.92 Meters (133.33 Yards) long. The Landship has three pairs of
mechanized legs that, through a mixture of advanced clockwork and steam piston
technology, can run automatically for minimal need for personal. Each leg can
also be taken off the system for more precise and necessary maneuvers (IE:
Severe Mountain Climbing of navigating deep within caverns, cities, or urban
areas).
One,
defining feature is the singular large cannon, custom built, that is affixed to
the Stern of the Landship and stretches the majority of the length of the ship.
Other armament consist of: Four artillery cannons, two on the bow and two on
the stern near the main cannon. A few cannon/anti-aircraft guns litter the deck
of the ship along both sides. He also has emplacements around the railing that
run along the entirety of the deck that are compatible with many heavy machine
guns (mostly the popular Gatling model). The gun sockets have steam-pipes and
some even have electrical outlets to assist with whatever weapon they may wish
to set up. The socket-approach also allows him to have fewer weapons on-board
then he does sockets.
Upgrades:
Twin bores will be added to the front of the Landship to assist giving the
Landship the scorpion look. The bores will bring many upgrades to the landship.
State of the art engines and boilers will be added to the ship. Stronger legs
and deck will protect the Scorpios from dirt and rock as well as attacks. This
will also introduce the Scorpios’ most potent ability. Digging.
Upgrades: A
protective dome for the cannon. The dome protects the firing crews and
mechanisms for the cannon from attacks and dirt. The dome itself also helps
secure the cannon’s long and large barrel, making it more accurate and giving
it a much greater range.
Upgrades: A
Series of Radio Antennas shall be added for picking up morse code, audio radio
waves, and maybe even some basic video later on.
Upgrades:
Track upgrades were added to the bottom of the landship so it could better keep
up with its train counterparts. It can retract (to a degree) its legs and bores
and train wheels will lock with the track and allow the Scorpios to triple its
normal speed on the railway. The negative is that the Scorpios is much larger
then any Engine currently on the railways and is very wide. Tunnels, sharp
turns, or sudden stops are impossible while in this mode. It also takes a lot
of precision and time to go in and out of this mode and use the tracks. This is
mainly for cross-country, long distance, travel or for non-engagement trips
with a locomotive.
Personality: The Scorpios is reliable, but slow. It is not capable of very effective late minute acts or decisions. Without a fully-staffed and capable crew (which it rarely has) everything take planning and forethought, from movement to digging to aiming and firing.
Skills: Large Anti-Aircraft Gun. City/Fortress Siege. Digging/Burrowing.
What makes them Steampunk: It is a large, mechanized walker. Digging Landship. Anti-Airship.
How did they get their Nick-Name: N/A
What sort of friends or allies would this person normally have: Due to its purpose and mercenary owner (Lt Flint), the only “friends” it would have would be in other mercenaries, in law rings and law associations (like Texas Rangers or Pinkertons). It has few friends in the areas of pirates, do to the popularity of airships, but those that befriend it are very thankful they have. Also, due to the Lieutenants military background and the use of Landships in military, usually he gets along with governments and armies.
Who were this person's parents?: Original ship is unknown. The original base of the walker was the child of inventor Quo-Lee. Bought by the Lieutenant, the “father” of the Scorpios. It was his grand vision, if it can be called that, that brought the Scorpios to life.
Background:
This character was in a dark ally when two thugs attacked them. Witnesses say they left the alley alright.
Why were they in the alley: This is a landship, it was “parked” (docked?) there.
How did they get away from the thugs: The crew fought off the two thugs and laughed. Muhahahaha. If it was empty, then the Lieutenant fought them off… or stepped on them with one massive leg.
There. PS: Still looking for an artist to fix up and make my Scorpios look nice and not like a third grader project. Thanks!
